“Life of Brian”, like the other top MP films (Holy Grail, Meaning of Life) only gets better with repeated viewings. Layer upon layer of meaning, nuance, and irony. Unsurpassable!
Agreed! Love how you started that sentiment with the word ‘Christ’, by the way. Very wry
Christ people! Its a COMEDY, enjoy it and laugh, not watch it and create a religious debate on YOUTUBE.
@mysticbarkingcow Yes there is something really wrong with faith. It’s the belief in something despite that every piece of evidence points to that belief being absolutely wrong. And still not having the intellectual capacity to grasp or understand that evidence but instead cling to an at least 2000 year old fairytale from the bronzeage. And all religious people are atheist, they all disbelieve all other “gods” except their own!
F’ing brilliant!
“. . . blessed are the big-noses!”
I’ve seen this about 10 times, and never noticed that donkey was Eeyore before now.
and the spanish inquisition!. . . . especially since nobody expects it.
If everyone was atheist they would still find a reason for war plain and simple. In addition while some organized religion has some problems. and nut jobs, that is no reason to say all of it is pathetic. There is nothing wrong with faith. So please stop talking down on religion because you think it is “moronic”, believing yourself better than another group because of your beliefs, or lack there of, is exactly what you are complaining about. By the way love this movie!
true but we gotta believe in something right?
wait till the atheists take over and roll our eyes at all those pathetic religulous beliefs
can we leave it at “Organized religion is moronic and one of the biggest causes of death today”?
religion is the biggest load of war causing rubbish, its more like a book of morals rarther then true belief and respect, thats why i consider myself pagen more anything else. your completely right with your statement though.
You know, I find it oddly amusing that you lot always shout that the Muslims kill people because of what the Qur’an says and yet fail to mention stuff like the Crusades, the people who were tortured for not believing God created the entire world as we know it or the people buried alive for being protestant rather than Roman Catholic. . .
Just sayin’.
(Before you attack me, I’m not a Muslim, I’m an atheist so stfu. )
wait till the muslims take over the uk and start stoning people for calling muhammed a pedophile,it is only a matter of time
As a person who had a Buddhist upbringing, would everyone shut up about where the Buddha was born, and just comment on this very very funny show.
I never said Buddhism was born in Nepal. And yeah Nepalese are not Mongoloid,FYI they originated from Khasas. Just some races within Nepali people are origins from Mongolians, the ones living on the mountains, for e. g. Sherpas. And yeah Nepali are Indo-Aaryan, i think its pretty obvious since majority of Nepalis are Hindu>
But of course in that time in there was no India or nepal. . But in todays map it is Nepal where Lord is born but Buddhism still originates from india. .
Buddha was an indo-aryan and nepalese people are not Indo-aryans but more like Mongoloid people. . . Buddha was born in Lumbini in Nepal yes and spended his majority of life in India. .
Even Buddha was born in Nepal dosent mean that Buddhism was born in nepal. . . BUddhism was came to light when he reached Nirvana. .
my pleasure!
Well thanks for the information.
He was NOT Indian. He was a Nepali Prince, his ancestors were The Shakayas who are indigenious of Nepal.
He received enlightment at India, and he died at India but he was a Nepali prince.
Yes indeed it did, Sidartha Gutama a. k. a Buddha was an Indian Prince before dedicating his life to his own religion.
Actually its a Hindu symbol for peace and prosperity.
And Buddhism originated from Hinduism.
@m2frogger oh
